In a nutshell, a Facial is a beauty treatment for the face. A facial cleans, exfoliates, and nourishes the skin, for a clear well-hydrated complexion. Exfoliation is removal of the dead skin cells that are on the surface of the skin. Facial results in your skin looking younger.

At Beauology a facial procedure takes 45 to 60 minutes and consists of consultation, cleansing, skin-analysis, steam, exfoliation, extractions, facial massage, facial mask, final application of toner/moisturizer/sunscreen, and home skin care advice. Based on your needs we select and recommend the right facial service from our menu for you.

To maintain the clear well-hydrated complexion a Facial is recommended every four to six weeks.

Q3. What are facial extractions?

Facial extractions are removal of blackheads or whiteheads. It is vital step in a facial procedure.

Blackheads are small, dark spots on the skin, caused by a blockage in the opening of a pore. The blockage of the pore is mainly from the naturally secreted oil. The oil secretion when exposed to air turns darker. Sometimes the blockage is not exposed to air and is under the skin and closed. Such closed blockages are lighter in color and are called Whiteheads.

Extractions cause some pain and discomfort during the procedure. Based on your tolerance of pain the esthetician can control the number of extractions during the facial.
